13th September v. Bloxwich (home)
The artificial track at the Royal School made sure the final match of the season went ahead but the outfield remained soggy from Friday's twelve hours of rain. Yet again, Captain Chris lost the toss but this time Penn were asked to bowl first. The short run up of Barrie Greatrex kept him away from the slippery grass and his unerring accuracy brought him yet another 7 wicket haul. A super performance which meant Bloxwich were dismissed for 107.
The Penn innings got off to a flyer with Harry Lal and Rupesh Patel hitting several boundaries in the first few overs.  Unfortunately, Penn then suffered a top order collapse and struggled to 60 for 6. Cool heads were required and Alex Haynes (15 not out) and David Potts (18 not out) saw the side home inside 23 overs.

30th August v. Hammerwich (home)
Skipper Chris Haynes had bad luck with the toss again and Penn were put into bat. After a slowish start (and some good accurate bowling), the innings got going and Rupesh Patel hit a half century in his first game of the season. The target for Hammerwich to win was 171.
Unfortunately, the Penn bowling attack was not at its best and the Hammerwich batsmen were in no mood to be sympathetic. They reached the target in the 40th over losing only four wickets in the process. Alex Haynes took 2 for 45 and Oliver Coburn was unlucky not to bag more than his one wicket after an excellent spell.

23rd August v. Old Wulfs Tettenhall (home)
Penn batted first on the artificial track at the Royal School and ran up a decent total of 175. Paddy Patel batted the whole innings for 68 not out and Chris Haynes knocked a solid 34.
The Penn bowling took wickets on a regular basis and OWT were reduced to 70 for 9. The bowling attack was helped by some good catching with Jon Doughty pouching two spectacular diving efforts. However, the last wicket just would not fall and eventually the rain came to bring the game to a premature halt with OWT on 110 for 9. Alex Haynes starred with 4 for 41 while David Potts took 3 for 35 and Ollie Coburn 2 for 12.
A winning draw and 13 points.

16th August v. Rugeley (away)
A trip to Longdon Green started well with Skipper Chris Haynes winning the toss, and inviting Rugeley to bat. The Penn bowling was tight and accurate, and the fielding excellent. Alex Haynes only gave away 2 runs in his five overs while Barrie Greatrex starred with an outstanding 7 wickets for 11 runs. David Potts chipped in with 3 for 36 as Rugeley were dismissed for just 51.
The Penn response was ruthless with only two wickets falling before the target was reached. Jit Patel hit a brutal 35 not out and had good support from Arun Patel and Tom Kimberlin.

28th June v. Bloxwich (away)
A blustery day on open public park land greeted the Fantastic Fifths at King George's Playing Fields in Bloxwich. Skipper Brian Lester lost the toss (again) and Penn were put in to bat. A fairly ignominious effort saw Penn dismissed for just 68 with Brian Lester making the largest contribution with a majestic 14.
68 was always going to be difficult to defend but Penn began well. Alex Haynes and Barrie Greatrex keeping the batsmen penned back. However, the Bloxwich batsmen just blocked the balls they had to and took runs where they could, reaching the total losing only three wickets. David Potts, Alex Haynes and Zak Evans were the only wicket takers.
