Hat trick for Penn Under 15 Girls
In their first season together the girls have added the Worcester league trophy to their cup and indoor league successes. Seven of the squad should also be representing the club at county level next season. The whole club is very proud of our girls and their amazing achievements this year.

Penn Girls in Regional Final
Penn U15 Girls, Representing the county of Worcestershire, travelled by Mini coach to Old Northamptonians CC to participate in the Lady Taverners Regional Final. The competition was based on a Round Robin League against 4 teams representing their counties, 8 overs per innings, 3pts for a win, 2 for a tie and 1 for a loss.
The First game saw Penn compete with Mere Heath (Staffordshire), which seemed to be a local derby given the Staffs County player connection.
We bowled first and restricted Mere Heath to 50, but in a nail biting batting performance we came up 1 run short to finish on 49.
In the second game we met a strong Wellingborough team (Northamptonshire) who scored freely then restricted our scoring with tight bowling going on to a comfortable win.
The 3rd game was a comfortable win for Penn against Lutterworth (Leicestershire) with some excellent bowling and fielding, one instance being a fantastic pick up and throw from Alex Nicklin resulting in a run-out.
In the 4th game we faced Moseley (Warwickshire) and having posted a reasonable total, we faced an attacking batting response resulting in Moseley winning at the start of the last over.
We came a respectable 3rd  with each player receiving a medal for their effort.
Wellingborough were the day’s winners, who will represent the Midlands at the National finals.

A thoroughly enjoyable day where we saw a level of competition not seen before,

We hope the girls enjoyed the day and take the memories forward into their cricketing endeavours,
