Monday 21st  June - Bromsgrove 8-a-side competition

Penn's successful girls side are on the march again.
Having won last years Worcestershire Under 15s indoor league and the outdoor league and cup, they gained their first Trophy of the season winning the inaugural Bromsgrove School 8 a side competition beating the Herefordshire County under 16 side and The Bromsgrove School B on the way to the Final in which they beat the Bromsgrove A side
Top scorer in the competition was captain Alex Nicklin who attends Summerhill School
Penn run various girls sides in what is one of, if not the fastest growing girls and ladies participation sports. See the victorious girls in the pictures below.

Sunday 9th May - Cannock CC Women Vs. Penn CC Women

History is made - Penn CC Women’s team played it’s inaugural game in the ECB Midlands League Div 3. Captain Alex Nicklin lost the toss and we were put into Bat. We posted a most respectable 207 for 2 from 40 overs with Alex Nicklin and Rowanne Adams both sportingly retiring at 50 to let the rest of the team bat.

With ball Paige Saunders took 3 wickets for 15 runs and 2 for 4 from Rachael Smith we restricted Cannock to 105 All Out from 23 overs.  A little chilly, but most enjoyable.
Well done ‘Women’.
